Management system for tourist destinations to boost competitiveness through e-tourism.
The project consists of the development of a system based on knowledge of experts of the tourism field called VIATJO, this system can extract information from official databases, comments from tourists on social networks, online surveys, and information from tourist sites specialized in the Web.

The project consists of the development of a system based on knowledge of experts in the tourism field called VIATJO, this system is able to extract information from official databases, comments from tourists on social networks, online surveys, and information from specialized tourist sites in the web. All the information extracted is stored and processed in a Big Data Cluster with the purpose of obtaining marketing, sustainability, and competitiveness metrics that allow generating an expert and automated study of the state that keeps the tourist destination. Finally, the evaluations and information obtained from tourist destinations through VIATJO are presented in a general way through the web and mobile systems with the intention of providing information that supports potential travellers to select their destination.
This project proposes the development of a tourism destination management system to boost competitiveness through e-tourism, capable of promoting a wide range of products/services of the tourist destination through a variety of distribution channels and electronic platforms. In addition to supporting management activities and customer relations of the destination. This proposal is born from an opportunity identified in the automated expert analysis carried out in the previous project, as a necessary and indispensable tool to increase the competitiveness and marketing of tourist destinations.
The proposed Destination Management System (SGD) is focused on the client, with the purpose of administering and marketing the destination as a holistic entity, which provides clear and precise information about the destination, allows real-time reservations, enables generation and electronic event promotion, provides a platform to include the MSMEs of the tourism destination products and services chain, facilitate planning the trip to the potential tourist, provide electronic marketing tools, have mobile applications as an alternative promotion channel, allow to receive electronic payments, generate consolidated reports, provide loyalty tools with customers, and allows positioning the destination on electronic platforms and social media.
