Comprehensive auxiliary monitoring system in the diagnosis of cardiovascular problems.
The project consists of the design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive auxiliary monitoring system in the diagnosis of cardiovascular problems. It will consist of a wireless sensor network based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard connected to the Internet of things, it will be possible to know the current or historical status of variables obtained from market sensors specialized in heart monitoring. The scenario that is handled is that the user or doctor can directly observe the information captured on a website and can help him make an accurate diagnosis.
Description
The proposed system consists of the following components:
Sensor node: A programmable embedded system whose base will be a microcontroller that is capable of supporting the needs of the commercial sensors that will be attached and a wireless communications system.
Coordinating Node: An embedded system without sensors with a wireless communications system.
Gateway: An embedded system that will have the necessary change so that the sensor network can connect to the internet of things, that is, the change of technology 802.15.4 to 802.11.
For the treatment of the information and control of the aforementioned devices, it is necessary to create the following software architectures:
Middleware: A software architecture capable of capturing the information obtained from the Gateway to empty the information into a database.
Database: The database will allow users to modify and delete information, which will be displayed by any device on the internet.
Website: The website can be accessed by users from anywhere in the world on any platform, as innovative technologies will be used in its creation.
Finally, an in-depth analysis of the information will be made that allows the use of the parameters obtained to predict and/or calculate certain medical factors, useful for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.
The proposing company has all the capacity to generate an ideal environment to implement and test the proposed system, as well as an environment replicable by any other public or private health institution in the country. There will be experts in the area of health who will be involved throughout the project in order to achieve a product of great impact and utility.
